Republican U.S. Representative Bob Goodlatte, the House Judiciary Committee chairman from Virginia, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing this weekend, that he backs a bill to let companies such as Facebook Inc. and Apple Inc. release statistics on data they turn over to the National Security Agency.
