Netflix Soars as Hastings Seeks to Damp ‘Euphoria’

Netflix Inc., the biggest gainer in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index this year, pressed further into record territory after reporting quarterly results that beat analysts’ estimates.
The shares jumped 6.4 percent to $369.28 at 9:54 a.m. New York time after rising 9.6 percent, the largest intraday increase in six months. The Los Gatos, California-based company has almost quadrupled this year.
