RES to Sell Oklahoma Wind Power to Arkansas Electric Cooperative

RES Americas Inc., a unit of the U.K.’s Renewable Energy Systems Ltd., said Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp. agreed to buy power from a wind farm it’s planning to build in Oklahoma.

The 150-megawatt Origin Wind Energy project in Murray and Carter counties, Oklahoma, will have 75 wind turbines and is scheduled to enter operation by Dec. 31, 2014, RES said today in a statement.
