Markit Index of Manufacturing in U.S. Fell to 51.9 in June

The Markit Economics final index of U.S. manufacturing decreased in June to 51.9 from 52.3 a month earlier, the London-based group said today.
The median forecast in a Bloomberg survey of 12 economists was 52.3 after a preliminary June reading of 52.2. Estimates ranged from 51.8 to 52.8. A reading greater than 50 for the purchasing managers’ measure indicates expansion.
