Hewlett-Packard Beats CSC for $3.5 Billion U.S. Navy Contract

Hewlett-Packard Co. will retain its largest U.S. government contract after winning a $3.5 billion award to run the Navy’s communications network.
The Navy yesterday announced that Hewlett-Packard’s team prevailed over a group of contractors that included Computer Sciences Corp. and Harris Corp. The agreement calls for managing the Navy’s 800,000-user intranet through 2018.
