Steel reinforcement-bar futures in Shanghai climbed the most in more than five weeks after prices fell to a four-month low, spurring purchases from some investors.

The contract for October delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange advanced 1.3 percent, the most since March 15, to close at 3,645 yuan ($590) a metric ton. Futures earlier declined to 3,578 yuan, the lowest level since Dec. 5.
