Industrial metals climbed as data from the U.S. showed economic growth is strengthening, raising demand prospects from the second-largest user.
Copper for delivery in three months rose as much as 0.4 percent to $7,821 a metric ton on the London Metal Exchange and was at $7,818.50 at 3:52 p.m. in Shanghai. Zinc rose 0.6 percent to $1,993 a ton and nickel gained 0.5 percent to $17,025 a ton.
