SunPower Restructuring Cost May More Than Double to $40 Million

SunPower Corp., the solar manufacturer that’s majority-owned by Total SA, expects to record a charge of $33 million to $40 million for a restructuring announced in October.

The “majority” of the charge will be recorded in the fourth quarter, San Jose, California-based SunPower said in a filing today. The company had earlier said it would take a charge of $10 million to $17 million for the restructuring program.
