Nampak Full-Year Profit Nearly Doubles on African Expansion

Nampak Ltd., a South African packaging company, said its full-year profit nearly doubled as it ramped up expansion in fast-growing economies elsewhere in Africa.

Net income rose 92 percent to 1.2 billion rand ($134 million) in the 12 months through September from a year earlier, the Johannesburg-based company said today in a statementBloomberg Terminal. Revenue advanced 12 percent to 17.6 billion rand. Earnings per share increased 90 percent to 1.97 rand, broadly in line with an average estimate of 1.98 rand according to nine analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
