TiVo Gains on $250.4 Million Patent Settlement With Verizon

TiVo Inc., the pioneer of digital-video-recording technology, gained the most in almost three weeks after Verizon Communications Inc. agreed to pay at least $250.4 million to settle patent litigation.
TiVo shares rose 4 percent to $9.94 at the close in New York, the biggest advance since Sept. 4. The stock has risen 11 percent this year.
