Centrica Plc, the biggest power and gas supplier to U.K. homes, needs more detail on the level of payments the government will guarantee before it decides whether to build a proposed nuclear reactor in southwest England.
Centrica will make the decision with partner Electricite de France SA. The viability of new reactors depends on a so-called strike price, what the state guarantees generators will get paid for nuclear power. The price needs to be 95 pounds ($149) to 105 pounds a megawatt-hour in 2020, double the current market level, according to data compiled by Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
