Qatar Electricity, Qatar Solar Technologies Sign Power Agreement

Qatar Electricity and Water Co. and Qatar Solar Technologies said they signed an agreement to study developing solar power in the Persian Gulf emirate, according to a news release the companies issued today.
Qatar Electricity plans to produce 10 percent of its electricity using solar energy by 2018, the company’s General Manager Fahad Hamad Al Mohannadi told a news conference in Doha today.
