Euro-Region Construction Output Fell in January on Spain, Italy

European construction output dropped for a second month in January, as declines in Spain and Italy offset gains in Germany and France.
Construction in the 17-nation euro region slipped 0.8 percent from December, when it declined a revised 1.9 percent, the European Union’s statistics office in Luxembourg said today. From a year earlier, output fell 1.4 percent.
