China reported discovering and treating about 900,000 cases of active tuberculosis in 2011, including 423,000 infectious cases, the Xinhua News Agency reported today, citing the Ministry of Health.

The nation reported 1,701 HIV/TB co-infections in 2011, as well as 51,682 cases of TB among the migrant population, Xinhua said, citing Xiao Donglou, a health inspector at the ministry, as saying.
