Chavez Says Citic to ‘Participate’ in Petropiar Oil Venture

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said that China’s Citic Group Corp. will sign an agreement to “participate” in the Petropiar oil venture with Petroleos de Venezuela SA and Chevron Corp on Feb. 27.
Chavez, speaking today in a nationwide broadcast, didn’t provide any additional details. Chevron has a minority stake in the venture.
