Syrian Army Fighting Rebels Hits Turkish Village, Sabah Says

Syrian government soldiers fighting opposition forces in the country’s northwest struck houses in a Turkish village across the border, Sabah reported.

Troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad battled members of the rebel Free Syrian Army across the border from Hatay yesterday evening in clashes that lasted until the early hours of today, the Istanbul-based newspaper reported. The southeastern province hosts more than 9,000 Syrian refugees.
