Petrobras Says It Discovered Oil and Gas in Solimoes Basin

Petroleo Brasileiro SA discovered oil and gas deposits in the Solimoes Basin, according to a statement today to the nation’s securities regulator.
Tests show the exploratory SOL-T-171 block has potential output of 1,400 daily barrels of “good quality” oil and 45,000 cubic meters of gas in the Jurua formation, Petrobras said.
