Sudan opened bidding for six new oil blocks to international oil companies, state-run SUNA news agency said today.

Forty-two companies gathered today in Khartoum, the capital, to study the blocks in the north, west, Red Sea Coast and Blue Nile state, the agency said, citing Minister of Petroleum Awad Ahmed Aljaz. The blocks were listed as 8, 10, 12B, 14, 15, and 18.
