Turkey Yields Rise as Bank Says Inflation May Exceed 10 Percent

Turkish bond yields rose to the highest in a month after the central bank said inflation may exceed 10 percent in December and the first quarter, twice its target level.

Yields on the two-year benchmark notes increased 29 basis points, or 0.29 percentage point, to 10.80 percent, the highest since Nov. 29, at the 5:00 p.m. close in Istanbul, according to the RBS Istanbul Benchmark Bond Index. The lira weakened 0.4 percent to 1.9004 per dollar, bringing losses this year to 18.7 percent.
