GE Competes With SAP, IBM in System-Analysis Software, FTD Says

General Electric Co. is investing hundreds of millions of dollars a year in software to analyze large amounts of data to compete with SAP AG and International Business Machines Corp., Financial Times Deutschland said, citing Bill Ruh, head of GE’s software unit.
GE has targeted sales of more than $5 billion in software licensing by 2014, up from $2.5 billion in 2010, the German newspaper reported.
