Volvo Cars May Hire 10,000 More Workers, Automotive News Says

Volvo Car Corp. may increase its workforce by about 50 percent by 2020 to help meet its goal of selling 800,000 vehicles, Automotive News Europe reported, citing an interview with Chief Executive Officer Stefan Jacoby.
Volvo may expand the number of employees by more than 10,000 to as many as 35,000, the newspaper said, citing Jacoby. Most of the jobs will be created in China, where Volvo’s owner, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., is based.
