Koenig & Bauer AG may be open to cooperation with peers after rival printing-press maker Manroland AG filed for insolvency yesterday, Boersen-Zeitung reported, citing Axel Kaufmann, chief financial officer.
The printing-press industry “is more competitive than almost any other,” the newspaper quoted Kaufmann as saying in an interview published today, adding that Koenig & Bauer doesn’t rule out forging alliances.
