The offices of Charlie Hebdo, a French satirical magazine that published a special edition featuring the prophet Mohammed as a “guest editor,” were gutted in an overnight firebomb attack, Agence France-Presse reported, citing an unidentified police official.

Charlie Hebdo published a special edition today to commemorate the recent Arab Spring uprisings, including a cartoon image of the prophet on the cover.
