ECB Says Banks’ Emergency Borrowing Jumped to 4.6 Billion Euros

The European Central Bank said euro-area banks increased emergency overnight borrowing to 4.6 billion euros ($6.7 billion) from 2.2 billion euros on the previous business day.

Financial institutions also parked more money with the Frankfurt-based central bank, depositing 202 billion euros overnight, up from 188 billion euros the previous day.
