Tunisia Agrees to Buy Total of 117,000 Tons of Soft, Durum Wheat

Tunisia agreed to buy 92,000 metric tons of soft wheat and 25,000 tons of durum wheat, Assia Boussena, director of procurement at Tunisia’s state grains agency, said.

The North African country’s grains office purchased 50,000 tons of soft wheat at $286.50 a ton, 25,000 tons at $285.69 a ton, and 17,000 tons at $288.69 a ton, Boussena said in a telephone interview from Tunis. The office also purchased 25,000 tons of durum wheat at $449.84 a ton, she said.
