Iraq Discovers Oil, Gas Field in Anbar Province, Official Says

Iraq, holder of the world’s fifth-largest crude reserves, discovered an oil and gas field in the Anbar province west of Baghdad, an official said.
The Khasfah field is between Al-Qaim and Rawa in western Iraq, Saadoun al-Shaalan, deputy head of the Anbar province council, said today in a statement. No data on the field’s reserves are available, according to the statement.
