Australia Newcastle Thermal Coal Rises 1.5% to $124.32 a Ton

Power-station coal prices at Australia’s Newcastle port, an Asian benchmark, rose 1.5 percent in the week ended today.
Coal prices at the New South Wales port climbed to $124.32 a metric ton from $122.46 the previous week, according to the globalCOAL NEWC Index.
