Japan’s Crude-Oil Imports Fall 11.2% in July; LNG Imports Climb

Japan’s crude oil imports fell 11.2 percent in July to 16.03 million kiloliters from a year earlier, the finance ministry said in a preliminary trade report today.

The country’s coal imports fell 14.6 percent to 14.3 million tons, while liquefied natural gas imports increased 14.3 percent to 6.5 million tons, the report said.
