Russia May Cut Stake in Diamond Miner Alrosa to 50%, RIA Reports

Russia’s Finance Ministry has proposed cutting the state’s stake in diamond miner OAO Alrosa to 50 percent in three years, RIA Novosti reported, citing Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Savatyugin.

The state owns about 91 percent of Alrosa, including stakes held by regional governments, the company’s website shows. The Finance Ministry earlier proposed selling a 10 percent stake in Alrosa, RIA said.
