Greece Sells 0.6% of Carbon Offered as Price Fell Below Floor

Greece sold 6,000 European Union carbon permits at an auction offering 1 million allowances after prices dropped below a floor of 16.11 euros ($23) a metric ton.
The auction closing price of 16.11 euros was 1 euro cent above the spot market price on the BlueNext trading platform in Paris as of 3 p.m. local time and 16 cents below the December futures price on the ICE Futures Europe exchange in London.
