Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions arrested Dimeji Bankole, speaker of the House of Representatives yesterday for “various allegations of corruption,” Femi Babafemi, spokesman for the agency said by phone from Abuja today.
Bankole will be interrogated for “two or three days,” Babafemi said. “From our office, he will be charged to court,” he added.
