Magnolia Bakery Plans to Open Stores in Brazil, Japan, FT Says

Magnolia Bakery, the New York cupcake maker in business since 1996, plans to open stores in Brazil, Qatar and Japan over the next 18 months, the Financial Times reported, citing the baker’s owner Steven Abrams.
The company, whose sales are rising about 20 percent a year, also plans to open stores in Kuwait, Portugal, Turkey and Mexico, the newspaper said.
