Israel’s unemployment rate declined to 6 percent in the first quarter, its lowest level in more than two years, as the economy expanded and participation in the labor force declined.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate dropped from a revised 6.5 percent in the previous quarter, the Jerusalem-based Central Bureau of Statistics said today on its website. Labor participation declined to 57.4 percent, from 57.7 percent in the last three months of the year.
