Brazil Coffee Output to Drop to 43.5 Million Bags This Year

Coffee production in Brazil, the world’s biggest grower and exporter, will drop to 43.5 million bags this year, down from 48.1 million bags last year, the Agriculture Ministry’s crop-forecasting agency, known as Conab, said today in an e-mailed report.

Conab said on Jan. 6 coffee growers would harvest between 41.9 million bags and 44.7 million bags this year.
