Chinese buyers accounted for half of the 27 new apartment sales in Hong Kong yesterday, the city’s Chinese-language Apple Daily reported today, citing unidentified people.

Chinese buyers are taking advantage of the Labor Day long weekend to purchase homes in Hong Kong after successive government measures to curb real estate overheating in China, including loan restrictions, the newspaper added.
