Turkish police raided 30 stores in Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, seizing thousands of handbags alleged to be copies of Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, Vatan newspaper reported.

Hundreds of police were involved in the operation after a six-month probe into who was distributing and selling the goods, Vatan said. Police also searced 11 warehouses in the city where they suspected the fake bags and purses were stored, Vatan said.
