Brazil’s Bovespa Gains on Commodities, U.S. Corporate Earnings

Brazilian stocks gained the most in almost two months as commodities prices climbed, boosting the outlook for producers, and companies in the U.S., the country’s second-biggest trading partner, reported higher-than-forecast earnings.
The Bovespa stock index rose 1.4 percent to 67,058.02 at 4:15 p.m. New York time, the biggest gain since March 2. Forty-four stocks rose, and 22 declined. The real strengthened 0.5 percent to 1.5687 per U.S. dollar.
