Nigerian voting centers have opened for elections today to choose a new president in the second of a three-stage general election in Africa’s top oil producer.
Voters started lining up at polling centers across Africa’s most populous country at 8 a.m. local time for the vote in which President Goodluck Jonathan is contesting against 18 other candidates, the Independent National Electoral Commission said in an e-mailed statement.
