BMW Says First-Quarter Sales Rose, Sees Record Sales in 2011

Bayerische Motoren Werke AG deliveries rose 21 percent in March to 382,758 vehicles in the first quarter, the company said in an e-mailed statement. BMW-brand sales gained 21 percent, the company said.
“We expect to increase sales to a new record of significantly more than 1.5 million vehicles,” sales chief Ian Robertson said in the statement.
