A fire that broke out in Syria’s Latakia prison killed 8 inmates and injured 2 members of the security forces, the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency reported.
At 5 a.m. today, a prisoner set fire to blankets and other items in one of the wings of the prison, the government agency reported, citing Major General Kamal Fatih.
