LG Electronics Inc. advanced in Seoul trading after BNP Paribas raised its stock rating to “buy” from “reduce,” saying a recovery in its handset business will drive earnings growth and boost its share price. The world’s third-largest mobile-phone maker gained 2.8 percent to 109,000 won as of 9:18 a.m. on the Korea Exchange. The benchmark Kospi stock index rose 0.2 percent.
