U.K., France Say EU Must Raise Pressure to Force Out Qaddafi

The leaders of France and the U.K. called on the European Union to ratchet up pressure on Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi to counter his military onslaught against Libyan rebels and force him out.
EU leaders will expand “measures to isolate that regime and measures to put pressure on that regime and we should also plan for every eventuality,” U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron told reporters before an EU summit today in Brussels.
