Malawi Government Spending Plans Rise 4%, Daily Times Says

Malawi’s spending plans for the fiscal year through May have risen 4 percent to 310 billion kwacha ($2.1 billion) compared with the budget presented on June 1, the Daily Times said, citing Finance Minister Ken Kandodo.

Extra funds from donors and increased revenue have financed the increase, Kandodo told parliament in the capital, Lilongwe, yesterday.
