Royal Dutch Shell Plc halted natural-gas output from its Norwegian Ormen Lange field, Europe’s third-largest, reducing supply and boosting U.K. gas and power prices.
“Production at Ormen Lange was shut in this morning due to a technical problem,” Kim Blomley, a company spokesman, said by telephone from The Hague. “We are trying to restore production from Ormen Lange as soon as possible.” Production hadn’t resumed at 4 p.m. in London, said Sally Hepton, a spokeswoman.
