Azerbaijan aims to increase agricultural production by 5 percent to 6 percent annually until 2015 to meet food demand fully, according to the Agriculture Ministry.
The former Soviet country of 9 million now produces only 70 percent of the farm products it consumes annually, Islam Ibrahimov, department head at the ministry, said in an interview.
