Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest wind-turbine maker, forecast sales will increase to a record this year after it gained market share in 2010.
Revenue will rise to about 7 billion euros ($9.5 billion) from 6.92 billion euros last year, Randers, Denmark-based Vestas said today in a stock exchange statement. Both numbers beat analyst predictions. The average estimate in a Bloomberg survey of 30 analysts was for 2011 revenue of 6.76 billion euros and the mean for 2010 was 6.64 billion euros.
