Turk Hava Yollari AO, the national carrier known as Turkish Airlines, is ready to “enter an arrangement” with Serbia’s state-owned JAT Airways with the aim of forming a new company named Balkan Airways, Tanjug newswire reported, citing government minister Sulejman Ugljanin.

The possible takeover of JAT may begin as early as March 1 after Serbia decides “which part (of the company) it wants to privatize,” the news agency quoted Ugljanin as saying following his recent visit to Turkey.
