Chapdelaine Credit Partners, the bond broker started two years ago when debt markets seized up, will close next week after failing to raise capital, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter.
The firm held a meeting in New York today to inform employees that the unit of Chapdelaine & Co., a municipal bond broker founded in 1966, will close as soon as Jan. 31, said the people, who declined to be identified because they aren’t authorized to discuss the changes publicly.
