Facebook Inc., owner of the world’s most popular social-networking service, hasn’t seen any major changes in user traffic from Egypt, the company said today in an e-mailed statement.

Facebook, based in Palo Alto, California, said it is aware of reports of service disruption in the country. Earlier, some Facebook users reported the site was inaccessible in Egypt, according to Herdict.org, which monitors Web access. The reports came after protesters took to the streets of Cairo and other major cities yesterday in Egypt.
