China May Raise Gasoline, Diesel Prices in February, CICC Says

China may delay possible increases in fuel prices until after the Lunar New Year holidays next month, the nation’s largest investment bank said.

“A fuel price hike after the Spring Festival is likely, in our view,” Bin Guan, an analyst at China International Capital Corp., wrote in an e-mailed note today. The Lunar New Year holidays begin on Feb. 2 and end on Feb. 8.
